Location and Setting
Disneyland is situated in Anaheim, California, which is surrounded by city streets and residential neighbourhoods. The Walt Disney world is located in Orlando, Florida, and it occupies a huge area resembling a town of its own, which is filled with highways, lakes, and resorts.

Disneyland Resort covers a small location which the visitors can walk around. The Walt Disney World Resort occupies approximately 25,000 acres. Distances are significant. There is a great need of transportation between parks, hotels and entertainment areas.
Number of Parks
The Disneyland Resort consists of two theme parks, which are Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. Walt Disney world has four large sized parks such as Magic Kingdom and Epcot that give more options within several days.
Historical Significance
Walt Disney personally managed Disneyland, which opened in 1955. There is a heavy load of history it carries with it. In 1971, Walt Disney World was opened, making his vision to life on a much bigger scale.
Castle Design
In Disneyland, visitors would observe Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is not large at all but full of nature. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has a significantly higher Cinderella Castle which gives it the greatest point of photographic and evening spectacles.
Transportation Options
Internal transport is not a necessity for Disneyland visitors as it is relatively short-distance between the park and a hotel. Walt Disney world provides buses, boats and gondolas by the Skyliner. The time taken to travel between various places will have to be factored in every day.
Hotel Variety
There are three official Disney hotels and numerous non-Disney hotels in the direct vicinity of Disneyland Resort within walking distance. Walt Disney world has over twenty Disney-owned resorts, both value and deluxe waterfront resorts.
Ride Overlaps and Differences
The common attractions in both resorts include Pirates of the Caribbean. The versions may however vary in length and design. Animal Kingdom is another unique place in Walt Disney world that does not have a similar place in California.
Dining Experiences
Disneyland offers a highly packed food experience where one can easily move between restaurants. The Walt Disney world has wide dining areas and global cuisine in the World Showcase of Epcot, where people can taste most of the countries cuisine in a single park.
Crowd Patterns
Local visitors are especially expected in Disneyland who have annual passes and pay shorter visits. Walt Disney World normally attracts vacationers who are making a one-week vacation. Consequently, the process of planning the trip and schedule might be rather dissimilar.
Vacation Length
Many visitors get through Disneyland within two or three days. It would take four to seven days before Walt Disney world can enjoy its four parks, water parks and resort activities without any rush.
